Strategy is a commodity, execution is an art. —Peter Drucker In everything you do, there must be a plan; a well-noted quote attributed to Benjamin Franklin states, "Failing to plan is planning to fail" the planning phase is crucial and must be carried out with diligence. The Franklin quote leads to another quote which is most often attached to Abraham Lincoln about planning, " Give me six hours to chop down a tree, and I will spend the first four sharpening the ax.” As educators, what do we consider when developing the strategy to carry out the plan? Do we take into consideration the members of the team? Do we look for the student's voice? Community voice? Do take into account Futurists making their predictions?
